Who I am Professionally
For the last 20 years I have dedicated myself to the helping professions, assisting and empowering others to achieve their highest self while listening to their own internal guidance system. Since 2008 I have focused specifically on mental health counselling. This experience has included five years with Adult Mental Health and Substance Use Services and three years with Child and Youth Mental Health, as well as four years in other Ministries within the Provincial Government. Part of my career experience includes teaching 2nd year psychology at Selkirk College. In 2016 I started training and working therapeutically in the animal assisted psychotherapy world.

Who I am Personally
My biggest passions are metaphysical pursuits, the spiritual world, travel, and animals. Friends and family often describe me as driven, loving, positive, kind, insatiably curious, patient, and supportive. While helping others with love and kindness is always a cause close to my heart, there are other recreational pursuits that I adore.
The metaphysical world is where I spend much of my time and is a subject area I have been studying and practicing since I was a teenager. Animals have always held a special place in my heart and I immensely enjoy having various creatures living in and around my house. My tiny weiner dog Juno comes to work with me and sleeps through all of my sessions. Travel is perhaps one of my most favourite past-times and when I have free time or spare money I am usually venturing off to some foreign land, learning experientially about the world as I fulfill my gypsy tendencies. My global wanderings have provided an education that cannot be found in any classroom. The arts, painting, music, photography, and nearly all forms of creative endeavours make me feel most alive. You may have seen my paintings displayed at various businesses in the community or at silent auctions for animal charities.
I would love to know what gives your life meaning and purpose! Life is meant to be lived and also fun. I can help you expand and cultivate these gifts allowing you to share with the world.
